Catholic Social Teaching

Because of the nature of the fund it is critical that we have a willingness to learn in depth what it is that the Catholic Church teaches regarding Justice Issues and that you can in good faith support those teachings and the practical actions that those teaching implicate.  The Biblical mandate around which all of the teachings flow is that each person is created in the image and likeness of God and has a right to live a dignified life worthy of that calling.  This teaching often interferes in practicality with our own personal beliefs and certainly it is contrary to the trends of the culture in which we live.  The Catechism of the Catholic Church states:  "What is at stake is the dignity of the human person, whose defense and promotion have been entrusted to us by the Creator, and to whom the men and women at every moment of history are strictly and responsibly in debt."
